History of Baker Travel
Baker Travel Corporate Group was founded in 1981 by Bob Baker. As a weekly traveler in executive management for Johnson & Johnson, Bob knew well the needs of the business traveler. He knew that his experience as a traveler would be instrumental in the success of Baker Travel. At a time when the travel industry was less than professional, Bob’s business instincts and commitment to the highest ethical standards brought the company early success.
Baker Travel Corporate Group was the first agency in Orange County to implement a system of quality control. While technology has changed radically since 1981, our heritage of excellence and commitment to quality and customer service remains.
When Steve Baker joined the company in 1997, our clients found out that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Steve continues his father’s commitment to client satisfaction. He has brought dozens of new ideas to the company that have helped propel it forward, in such areas as online booking, enhanced financial reporting, and a commitment to staying close to customers.
