Candy’s Carefree Travel, Inc. is proud and most grateful to have celebrated our 24th year in business in March of this year! William & Sandra Hensley, Candy Monarrez and Tara Gerhart opened our doors in 1984.

We have grown to a staff of fourteen employees. We are centrally located in McHenry Village on the corners of Briggsmore and McHenry Avenues in Modesto, CA.

For six years in a row, we have been honored to be Modesto’s Favorite Travel Agency as voted upon by the readers of the Modesto Bee.

We specialize in dream vacations and cruises world wide… Hawaii & Mexico, All-Inclusive Resorts & Honeymoons, Family Vacations, and International & Domestic Escorted Vacations. We even have specialized vacation experiences for the 18 – 35 year olds! Our staff has 220 combined years of travel consulting experience. We are passionate about what we do and it shows in the service and expertise we provide our customers.

Over the years, we have developed and excelled in the area of GROUPS. Not only can we assist you with special interest groups, church groups, family reunions or special occasions, we have also developed our very own Carefree Travel hosted departures, conveniently departing Modesto and other Central Valley locations.
